Notes from the GM

by | Feb 28, 2014 | MN SKI HILL

Well here we are at the end of March looking back at a very interesting season. We had great snowmaking weather and opened earlier than normal. We were begging for cold early in the season so we could make a lot of snow and by the new year we were begging for warmer weather. It seems we were doing a lot more begging than we normally have to. There were also a lot of very nice days and with all of the natural snow we received the conditions were very good all season long. Our grooming crew always does a great job of keeping the runs in top condition, we are lucky to have groomers that care about the finished product. We will have been open for 119 days this season by the last day, that’s above average by about 7 days, not bad for being closed a bunch of days due to bad weather.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us this season, we really do appreciate it and we look forward to seeing everyone next season for Powder Ridge’s 60th season. We may have to have some kind of a party for that.
